Detailed Itinerary

  • 09:00 a.m. - Meeting at Quero

Your guide will be waiting for you at the Quero Central Park to welcome you. From there he will accompany you to Hacienda Hipolongo, where we will begin the experience.

  • 09:30 a.m. - Hike to the water springs

We will board an adapted tractor that will take us to the pine forest, the starting point of the tour. As we ascend, you will observe the flora and fauna of the páramo, and you may even come across a wild cow in its natural habitat.

  • Connection with water and life

The hike will take us to the crystalline water intakes of the Igualata, where we will recharge our batteries with a box lunch while enjoying the landscape and the silence of the moor.

  • Visit to the trout hatchery

On the way back, we will pass by the “La Morenita” hatchery, where you will learn about the care and breeding of trout. If you like sport fishing, you can try it and, if you wish, bring your own catch (additional cost on site).

  • Return to the Hacienda and lunch

We will end the tour with a typical lunch prepared by women of the community, with fresh local products. Afterwards, you will have time to rest and enjoy the hacienda's facilities before concluding the day.
